History

In 1975 Dan and Tom McClanahan opened El Coyote in New York City. It was a huge success so they decided to bring El Coyote to their hometown of Cincinnati in 1983. In 2004, Jim Bell, Dan and Tom's brother in law, who helped open the restaurant in 1983, came back to the family business to continue the tradition. We use the finest ingredients in our homemade signature recipes. Our name says were Tex Mex, but we are known for our outstanding Steaks and Chops. We strive to have the best food and service around.

We have won many awards throughout the years for the Best Margaritas, Steaks and Chops, Tex Mex, Mashed Potatoes, and even the Most Romantic.
